Kyiv will allocate approximately €5.2 million to a new anti-drone programme aimed at defending the Ukrainian capital’s skies from Russian drone attacks, municipal authorities announced on Friday.

A Russian oil tanker was hit by Ukrainian drones in the Kerch Strait, causing traffic on the strategically important bridge connecting Crimea to Russia to be briefly disrupted.
The ship was damaged and two tugboats arrived on the scene, the TASS news agency reported, citing the Maritime Search and Rescue Center. The agency clarified that there was no oil leak on the ship, which had a crew of 11 people.
According to the Moscow Times, it is the SIG tanker, which has been sanctioned by the USA, because it supplied fuel to Russian forces sent to help the regime of Bashar al-Assad during the war in Syria.

This latest attack comes a day after a Ukrainian drone strike on a Russian warship at a Black Sea base in Novorossiysk was declared a success by the Ukrainian SBU security services.
In particular, the Ukrainian drone attack caused serious damage to a Russian warship in the Black Sea, after photos on social media showed the ship Olenogorsky Gornyak being towed.
A Ukrainian source said that a surface drone carrying 450 kilograms of TNT successfully attacked the ship. The same source states that there were about 100 Russian military personnel on board the ship. As a result of the attack, the Russian ship has been seriously damaged and is unable to fulfill its duties, the same source said.
