In the framework of the annual military cooperation program between Cyprus and Israel, exercise “IASON – 2022” was successfully held on September 12-13.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Defence, the exercise was carried out within the Nicosia FIR with the participation of land and air assets of the National Guard of the Republic of Cyprus and the Israeli Defence Forces.
Throughout this joint activity, the personnel of the National Guard and the Israeli Air Force had the opportunity to jointly train, while the exchange of knowledge and expertise in the field of tactical air operations and air defence was promoted.
The exercise is part of the Bilateral Defence Cooperation Program and contributes to the increase of mutually beneficial operational capabilities, enhances interoperability, and demonstrates, in practice, the excellent cooperation between the respective Armed Forces.
