Orthodox Christians around the world celebrated the Epiphany. In an announcement, the National Defence General Staff wishes that Eminent Christ enlightens and guides our hearts and thoughts, while sending wishes for strength and health.

The ceremony of sanctification of waters took place in the occupied Agia Triada in Karpasia and on “Paralia Glossa” in Famagusta. This year, the liberation of the occupied territories of Cyprus is still hoped for.

Prior to the Turkish invasion of 1974, large celebrations and events for the Epiphany took place in the occupied territories.
