On behalf of the President of the Greek Government, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence, Antonios Oikonomou, attended on Sunday December 10, 2023 in Tripoli, the Unveiling Ceremony of the Bust of Flying Officer Marios-Michael Touroutsikas, who lost his life while on duty on January 30, 2023.
Mr. Oikonomou attended the memorial service officiated by Archimandrite Ioustinos, followed by the unveiling of the bust where he laid a wreath.
The ceremony was also attended by the MPs of Arcadia, Odysseas Konstantinopoulos and Giorgos Papailiou, the Regional Governor of the Peloponnese, Panagiotis Nikas, the Mayor of Tripoli, Kostas Tzioumis, Air Vice-Marshal Ioannis Birbilis on behalf of the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, and the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Air Marshal Themistoklis Bourolias, the Deputy Governor of Arcadia, Christos Lambropoulos, the Commander of DIKE, Major General Ioannis Dimitrellos, the Commander of the 338th Air Force Squadron, Wing Commander Nikolaos Karras, as well as delegations of other agencies.
