Armenians living in the territories, which, according to the tripartite agreement, will fall under the sovereignty of Azerbaijan, have begun to leave their homes en masse. According to local media, people literally take everything with them, and what they cannot carry, they destroy by handing over “scorched earth” to the Azeris.
According to one local resident, Azerbaijan will take control of all infrastructure built by the Armenian population.
Dozens of videos and photos circulating on the internet show burned houses and schools, while several students wrote slogans on walls against Azeris and Armenian “traitors”.
The Armenian press presents the news as a manifestation of patriotism and injustice. The fact of the destruction of dozens of homes and public infrastructure is confirmed by foreign journalists and international media.
