In the difficult times that Greece has been going through lately, the Greek people and the business world of the country practically express their support to the Army and the Security Forces.
A typical example is the donations made by many private companies, organized groups, but also a large number of ordinary people both before and during the recent events related to the hybrid war that Turkey unleashed in the midst of the pandemic of COVID-19.
Donations ranging from simple personal protective materials to even general support ships, all made out of pure love and care for the personnel of the Army and the Security Forces. The operational value of the equipment provided has strengthened and will significantly enhance the work of the Greek guards in carrying out their duties.
Indicatively, we present the main donations made in recent months according to what has been published in the Army and Security Forces:
“Aikaterini Laskaridis” Foundation – Panagiotis Laskaridis: the General Support Ships (PGY) “Atlas I” and “Iraklis” in the Navy in December 2019 and April 2020 respectively. The signing of the contract for the concession of “Hercules” took place only last Tuesday, April 28, 2020.
