The launch event of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center (NCC-CY) took place on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the ICT Academy of the Communications Commissioner, within the framework of the European Project N4CY: Development of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center of the Republic of Cyprus.
In his greeting, the Commissioner of Communications, Mr. George Michaelidis, emphasized the importance of the work carried out by NCC Cyprus, which, among other things, calls for creating the cyber security community, providing sponsorships to society, and undertaking awareness and education actions.
The Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Mr. Nicodemos Damianou, invited the attendees to use the services of the National Cyber Security Coordination Center of Cyprus stressing that the state will continue to attach due importance to the Cyber Security sector.
The event was also attended by the Executive Director of the European Cybersecurity Competence Center, Mr. Luca Tagliaretti, who developed the Organization’s vision to strengthen Europe’s integrity in the field of Cyber Security.
The Head of NCC-CY, Mr. Polis Peratikos, informed about the goals, actions and future plans of the National Cyber Security Coordination Center and, at the same time, addressed an open call to everyone for the development of new strategic partnerships.
The celebratory event was attended by more than 100 stakeholders from the public and private sector, active in the field of Cyber Security.
