The active and consistent participation of member companies of the Hellenic Aerospace Security & Defence Industries Group (HASDIG) in the European Defence Fund (EDF) continues to yield results.

Under Rector Prof. Stamatis Angelopoulos, the International Hellenic University has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Hellenic Manufacturers of Defence Material Association (SEKPY).
On behalf of the Association, the Memorandum was signed by Mr. Dimitrios Nodaros, a member of the Board of Directors of SEKPY.
The aims of the Memorandum are:
- the implementation of funded research programs;
- the organization of scientific events and conferences with the participation of public and private institutions of the country and abroad as well as the publication of research program results;
- the utilization of research carried out at IHU and the research results of its research laboratories, with the aim of strengthening the domestic defence industry;
- the exchange of know-how and specialized knowledge and the integration of innovation with the ultimate goal of highlighting excellence;
- the absorption of International Hellenic University graduates by the domestic defence industry.
