From Thursday, February 15 to Monday, March 04, 2024, the bilateral joint exercise “HIGHLAND KHUKRI – 24” took place in Scotland in the context of the military cooperation between Greece and the United Kingdom.

The joint LIVEX/FTX (Live Exercise/Field Training Exercise) focused on planning and conducting operations in a mountainous environment.

During the exercise, the participants had the opportunity to train in complex operational scenarios, which contributed to increasing combat capability and improving interoperability.

According to the relevant announcement, on the Greek part, the said action was attended by personnel from the Special Warfare Command of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS) and by personnel from the 2nd Royal Gurkha Rifles Battalion and the 16 Air Assault Brigade Combat Team on the part of the UK.
