Hellenic Army and Navy Academies’ summer exercises丨Photos and VIDEO

The summer military exercise of the Hellenic Army Academy was conducted from June 28 to July 19, 2021 in the area of ​​Kanapitsa, Litochoro.

The exercise included scenarios of individual tactics, combat techniques and conduct of all-day Group/Platoon-level exercises. The exercise was attended by personnel and means of the XXIV Armored Brigade (“1st CAVALRY REGIMENT – FLORINA”) and the 1st Army Aviation Brigade (“KILKIS LACHANA”).

From July 5-9, 2021, a number of cadets were trained in the provision of first aid on the battlefield at the Special Forces Training Center.

Additionally, on Monday, July 26, 2021, the opening ceremony of the annual Summer Training of the Navy School of Non-Commissioned Officers took place at the Naval Fort Scaramanga.

The ceremony was attended by the Chief of the Hellenic Navy, Vice-Admiral Stylianos Petrakis, the Commander of the Naval Training Command, Rear Admiral Ioannis Pattas, the Commander of the Navy School of Non-Commissioned Officers, Captain Charalambos Gavalas as well as friends and relatives of the cadets.

HS “RODOS” will participate in the Summer Training, which will last until Thursday, August 19, 2021. The ship is scheduled to set sail at the ports of Alexandroupolis, Rhodes, Corfu, Tinos and the Naval Base of Crete, while 156 cadets will be on board along with 3 students of other Military Academies.

The purpose of the Summer Training is the practical training at sea and the acquisition of naval experience by the cadets as well as the promotion of the Navy in the ports of arrival.
