Graduation ceremony of the new Combat Support Officers from the Hellenic Combat Support Officers Academy (CSOA)

The graduation ceremony of the new Combat Support Officers took place at the Hellenic Combat Support Officers Academy in Thessaloniki on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.  The ceremony was honored by the presence of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mrs. Aikaterini Sakellaropoulou, who awarded the swords to the New Army Officers.

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis, the Deputy Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS) Rear Admiral Ioannis Drymousis as a representative of the Chief of HNDGS, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence Antonios Oikonomou, Armed and Security Forces’ delegations, members of the Hellenic Parliament and the parliamentary parties, Rectorate and Consular Authorities and representatives of religious authorities.

A total of fifty two (52) New Officers of the Medical, Psychological, Pharmaceutical, Economic and Legal Corps have graduated, of whom one (1) is Greek Cypriot and two (2) are Allied Officers from Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The Greek Officers are distributed, according to the announcement of the HNDGS, as follows:

  • Thirty one (31) in the Army Branch
  • Seven (7) in the Air Force Branch
  • Five (5) in the Navy Branch
  • One (1) in the Hellenic Police
  • Five (5) in the Common Law Corps of the Hellenic Armed Forces

The event was in compliance with the safety measures concerning the COVID-19 pandemic.
