On July 21, 2023, the Federation of Cypriot American Organizations (FCAO) held a reception in New Jersey to celebrate the NJ National Guard Partnership Agreement with the National Guard of the Republic of Cyprus.
The reception was attended by the Cyprus Minister of Defence, Michalis Georgallas, the Cyprus Chief of the Natural Guard, Lieutenant General Demokritos Zervakis, representatives of the US Government, officers, and community leaders.
According to a relevant announcement, the partnership aims to enhance security cooperation, promote diplomatic ties, encourage economic development, and strengthen natural disaster and emergency response.
