On Sunday, November 29, 2020 and in preparation for the bilateral interdisciplinary exercise Greece – Egypt “MEDUSA 10”, was held in the wider sea area north of the Port of Alexander Exsex Greek, Egyptian, French and Cypriot aircraft, while at the same time Greek and Egyptian aircraft carried out missions to protect naval forces and offensive operations.
This co-training took place, following the cooperation of HNDGS with the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of the participating countries, before the main Exercise and during the voyage to the port of Alexandria. Greece participated with two Frigates, one Barge, four F-16 Aircraft and one Airborne early warning and control aircraft.
The bilateral interdisciplinary exercise Greece – Egypt “MEDUSA 10”, in which Cyprus, France and the United Arab Emirates also participate, aims to co-train and promote the cooperation of their Units and contributes to the consolidation of security and stability in the wider region. of the Eastern Mediterranean.
