The Board of Directors of the Cyprus Army Non-Commissioned Officers Association (SYKS), in the context of informing its members, announced that today, May 17, the National Guard General Staff, following the decision of the Minister of Defence Charalambos Petridis, announced the promotions of Contracted Non-Commissioned Officers (SYP).
SYKS informs that 314 SYP Sergeants have been promoted to Staff Sergeant, after 20-21 years in the same rank.
The President and the Board of Directors of SYKS, in the announcement of the Association, congratulates the promoted colleagues and expresses its satisfaction that finally, after so many years of injustice towards SYP Sergeants, they have all been promoted to Staff Sergeant. The Association also expects the promotions of Sergeant Major, as requested last year.
