SignalGeneriX’s participation in the Cyprus International Defence and Security Conference “BATTLEFIELD ReDEFiNED 2023” attracted the interest of the attendees both because of the company’s achievements in the field of electronics for defence and other applications as well as the extroversion and innovation that characterises the company.
However, the highlight was the company’s man-portable electronic warfare system, RF HUNTER®, which was showcased for the first time in Cyprus, following France and Vietnam. RF HUNTER® was displayed to an audience including officers of the Armed and Security Forces and entrepreneurs, by Dr. Stavros Hadjitheophanous, Product Manager of SignalGeneriX.

The RF HUNTER® is essentially a highly effective, non-detectable electronic warfare system (direction finder) that operates passively for the tracking and analysis of communication signal emissions. It can be carried in a manpack and operated by a single operator, mounted on a tripod, or on a vehicle in order to provide real-time passive situational awareness of an area of interest.
RF HUNTER® can be easily deployed in the field and can be used in a wide range of tactical defence and security operations. As a modular system it can be configured to perform a range of missions such as special operations missions and electronic warfare operations (COMINT), but also to identify the position of enemy forces (RF Target Geolocation). In addition, the system can be used in search and rescue operations as well as for the detection of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or Drones.
RF HUNTER® is compliant with the latest military standards and can be integrated into other detection systems. The system consists of the innovative reconfigurable Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology developed by SignalGeneriX, the dome with various antenna array formations, the power supply, a ruggedized tablet, the carrying case, and the tripod.
Of course, the fact that a Cypriot small- and medium-sized company managed to build a state-of-the-art technology system developed domestically may bring smiles to the domestic defence industry, but what really fills us with optimism for the future is the company’s participation in European research and development programs, which are sources of continuous technological maturity and development.
On these solid foundations, SignalGeneriX pioneers and innovates by bringing added value to the domestic technology ecosystem, while increasing its footprint in the Defence and Security sectors.
