The murder of a woman in the occupied territories turns into a thriller with Ersin Tatar appealing to the Greek Cypriot side, through the United Nations, for help in arresting the alleged perpetrators.
The murdered woman was Aitsa Alav and the crime took place in occupied Nicosia, with the perpetrator or perpetrators believed to have fled to the free areas.
Alav was murdered in the betting office next to the exchange office she was working in in occupied Nicosia. The killers tied her hands with cable and duct tape behind her back and put a towel over her mouth with duct tape on top.
As a result, the woman died of suffocation. The perpetrators then took an unspecified amount of money from the exchange office, the victim’s money, and her mobile phone.
Regarding the woman’s murder, two arrests have already been made in the occupied territories. These are two 31-year-old men who allegedly helped the two alleged perpetrators to escape. Last Saturday they were detained for three days by court order.
According to information released in the occupied territories, a “presidential” statement of the Turkish Cypriot leader, the coordinator of the Technical Committees, Seniha Birad Cinar and the co-chairman of the Technical Committee for Crime and Criminality, Salih Gian Doratli, have taken the necessary initiatives to arrest the perpetrators and take them to the pseudo-state.
Both the UN and the Greek Cypriot side have been informed of the case.
