President Nikos Christodoulidis in Athens for his first visit outside Cyprus

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulidis, is meeting today with Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in Athens. The President is making an official visit to Greece on Monday and Tuesday, March 13 and 14.

This is his first visit outside Cyprus after taking office.

The President of the Republic and his entourage arrived in the Greek capital on a commercial flight, since, according to CNA, the damage was detected in the presidential aircraft during a check carried out. Thus, purely for precautionary reasons a commercial flight was preferred. The damage was detected two days ago.

Based on the schedule of his visit, during the two-day official visit, President Christodoulidis will hold talks with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, while he will attend meetings with his Greek counterpart, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, Konstantinos Tasoulas, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, and with the heads of the parliamentary parties of Greece.

He will also meet with the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Hieronymos II.

As announced, during his contacts in Athens, the President of the Republic is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Konstantinos Kombos, the Government Spokesman, Konstantinos Letympiotis, the Deputy Minister to the President, Irini Piki, the Ambassador of the Republic to Greece, Kyriakos Kenevezos, the Director of the Office of the President of the Republic, Charalambos Charalambous, the Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President of the Republic, Marilena Raunas, and other officials.
