Parliament confirms cyber attack by Turkish hackers on April 5

In a statement, the House of Representatives has confirmed the cyber attack on its official website on April 5, 2021. 

The Digital Security Authority has concluded that the attack on the Parliament’s website comes from a range of addresses linked to a Turkish hacker group.

Specifically, it states that “following a relevant announcement of the House of Representatives on 5/4/2021 and after receiving the data analyses carried out by the Digital Security Authority, the House of Representatives confirms the cyber attack on its official website on that date.”

The Digital Security Authority, the Parliament states, reminds “that because the incident was tackled in a timely manner, the website was not breached, while additional security precautionary measures were taken.”
