Naval Group announced the official launch of its subsidiary in Greece, Naval Group Hellas.
This is a company with a tenure of a few months already in Greece, a 100% subsidiary of the Naval Group, and part of its long-term commitment in Greece to support the Group’s activities with Greek partners.
The creation of the Naval Group Hellas subsidiary is fully integrated into the process of strengthening the cooperation between the Greek and French industries, as announced, and is a pillar of Naval Group’s long-term footprint in Greece.
The subsidiary will produce and coordinate local industrial activities for the benefit of the Hellenic Navy.
Its main activities are:
- To enhance local relations with Greek companies under the frigate FDI program and in respect of other maritime projects.
- To conduct Support activities for FDI frigates and other naval vessels, including French naval vessels operating in the area.
- To develop Research & Development projects in collaboration with Greek partners.
The company’s personnel will include French and Greek engineers and technicians with know-how in the areas of naval shipbuilding and maintenance.
With its offices in the Municipality of Athens Attica, Naval Group Hellas is managed by Benoît Chapalain, who moved to Greece in June 2022 to coordinate the development of the Hellenic Industrial Participation project carried out by Naval Group under the ongoing FDI frigates program.
