A total of 711 people in the Turkish Armed Forces are being prosecuted, while 110 of them have been arrested on charges of participating in the organization of Imam Fethullah Gulen, who is considered the mastermind of the 2016 coup attempt against Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan.
According to the Turkish pro-government newspaper Sabah, among the suspects are 21 Colonels, 25 Lieutenant Colonels, 45 Majors, 112 Captains, 269 Lieutenants, 33 Second Lieutenants and 196 Non-Commissioned Officers.
