Intracom Defense | Certification for LOTUS drone and military aeronautical product design

Intracom Defense (IDE) held a meeting with the Hellenic National Military Airworthiness Authority (HNMAA) regarding the start of the company’s approval process as a military design organization for aeronautical products (Military Design Organization Approval – MDOA), in accordance with European military airworthiness requirements (EMAR Part 21).

At the same time, IDE is starting the certification process carried out by the HNMAA, of the Low Observable Unmanned Aircraft System “LOTUS”, to obtain a Military Type Certificate (MTC), according to the NATO certification criteria (STANAG 4671). The process takes place in the context of the implementation of the homonymous European program.

According to the company’s announcement, the structured and friendly cooperation of the industry with Ministry of Defence authorities decisively strengthens the country’s presence in the emerging European defence industrial infrastructure and brings operational advantages for its Armed Forces and significant benefits for its economy.
