“Iniochos 21” | The multinational Air Force exercise kicks off on April 12

With the participation of fighter jets and helicopters from Greece, France, the United States of America, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Israel and Cyprus, the multinational medium-scale Air Force exercise “Iniochos 21” begins on Monday, April 12 at Andravida air base.

“Iniochos 21” will take place from April 12-22, while the redeployment phase will take place on April 23.

The exercise will focus on offensive counterattack, defence and surface counterattack operations with the assistance of the Air Force in land and sea operations, reconnaissance, search and rescue and Time Sensitive Target missions as well as High Value Airborne Asset and Slow Mover operations.

In addition to the Hellenic Air Force, French Rafale and Mirage 2000 aircraft, American F-16s, MQ-9s and KC-135s, United Arab Emirates F-16s aircraft, Spanish F/A -18 Hornet, Israeli F-15s and F-16s and a Cyprus AW139 helicopter will participate in this year’s exercise.

The aim of the Air Force is to make the “Iniochos 21” exercise the most competitive in Europe and the Mediterranean, providing participants with a high level of training and a unique participation experience.
