The graduation ceremony of 21 Special Police Officers Class 20 was held Wednesday (02.06.2021) at the Police Academy. The police officers were recruited by the Police last Monday, May 31, 2021.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the Deputy Chief of Police, Mr. Christos Mavris, the Assistant Chief of Education, Mr. Georgios Frangos and the Director of the Police Academy, Senior Police Officer Mr. Themistos Arnaoutis.

These members will attend a four-week preliminary training program (two weeks at the Cyprus Police Academy and two weeks at the Emergency Response Unit) and will then be placed in Police Directorates, Departments and Units to meet police service needs.

Welcoming the new members, the Deputy Chief of Police stressed, among other things: “As of today, you are part of the Police Force. Your recruitment was carried out based on objective and transparent criteria and that is why you should be proud. Today’s Police is quite different, it requires members with skills, professional training, discipline within and out of police premises and much more.”
