The 125th conference of the European Organization of Military Associations and Trade Unions EUROMIL was held in Trenčín, Slovakia. The Cyprus Army Officers Association (SAKS) also participated in the conference and issued a relevant announcement.
According to the announcement of SAKS, the conference took place on April 28-29, 2022 and was hosted by the Military Association of Slovakia ZVSR, while in addition to the delegations of EUROMIL members, scientific personnel and military delegations from the Defence Ministry of Slovakia also attended.
During the conference, the Cyprus Army Officers Association highlighted the problem of the invasion and occupation of Cyprus, the immigration problem and EU assistance as well as the establishment of a schedule for military personnel. The Association also participated – together with a corresponding delegation of the Cyprus Army Non-Commissioned Officers Association (SYKS) in the working group “EU Central Committee for Southern Europe (Mediterranean)” on the rehabilitation and social welfare of war veterans.

On the occasion of holding the conference in a country bordering Ukraine, EUROMIL unanimously expressed its support for the suffering civilians and called on the warring parties to cease hostilities.
