According to an announcement by the Ministry of Defence, on September 10, a Special Operations Team of the Underwater Demolition Unit will conduct an exercise with a US Naval Special Warfare (SEALS) Unit.
According to the announcement of the Ministry, the scenario of the exercise focuses on boarding and recapture of a ship and will be held on the National Guard’s General Support Ship “ALASIA” that is moored in the port of Limassol.
During the exercise, technical procedures of boarding and capturing the vital areas of the ship will be applied along with control, personnel management and threat neutralisation.
