At least two people were killed today in the crash of a Hungarian military helicopter at the bottom of a canyon in a mountainous area of Croatia, according to CNN Greece.
Rescue searches are underway to locate the third member of the helicopter’s crew, Josip Brozicevic, the head of the state mountain rescue service.
The helicopter went down in the depth of the Cikola river gorge near Dirce at a distance of about 50 km from the Adriatic coast.
The Croatian Defence Ministry first reported the incident, noting that it had mobilized a plane and a helicopter to assist in the search.
