The pilot was successfully launched from the aircraft and transported to the 96th Medical Team for evaluation and monitoring. The operator’s health is stable.
NEWS RELEASE: An F-35A Lightning II assigned to the 58th Fighter Sq crashed upon landing around 9:30 p.m. today @TeamEglin. The pilot successfully ejected and was transported to the 96th Medical Group for evaluation and monitoring. The pilot is in stable condition. Cont.

We recall that this is the second crash of a fighter in this base since it was preceded on Friday, May15 by the crash of a Raptor F-22 stealth jet.
This is the third F-35 crashing in a similar case. A team of experts has begun investigating the causes, while the area of the crash has been ruled out.
