Yesterday, the presentation of the projects of the Recruitment Computerization Support Center took place at the Ministry of Defence in the presence of the Minister of Defence, Mr. Charalambos Petridis, and the General Director, Mr. Andreas Loukas.
According to an announcement by the Ministry of Defence, the Recruitment Computerization Support Center proceeded to implement its ambitious vision for the modernization of the Recruitment Center.
In the context of “Cyprus Tomorrow”, it managed to develop projects such as:
- e-classification;
- e-submission of conscripts’ details;
- electronic submission of applications for Contracted Soldiers;
- provision of enlistment certificates via a connection with the Citizens’ Service Centres across Cyprus.
The Center also succeeded in liaising with the Cyprus Police Force for the identification and deployment of all non-enlisted reservists, as well as liaising with the Cyprus Sports Organization in order to revoke the health card of those National Guardsmen who secured a service deferral for medical reasons or those who are temporarily deemed Unfit for recruitment (I/5) for mental health reasons.
Finally, it is worth noting that new projects are scheduled for 2023.
