Rheinmetall and Greece’s Intracom Defense have agreed to cooperate closely in vehicle-based Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Intelligence (C4I) systems.
Christoph Müller, Managing Director of Rheinmetall Electronics GmbH, and Dr. George Troullinos, Chief Executive Officer of Intracom Defense, signed a cooperation agreement in late September 2021.
The two companies will coordinate their activities for the joint development and marketing efforts of a vehicle-based C4I system to jointly address the needs of their domestic and international markets. Both partners complement each other in an ideal fashion: while Rheinmetall Electronics concentrates on command and communication systems for communication between vehicles and the chain of command, Intracom Defense has globally-acknowledged expertise in intercom systems that enable crew members to communicate with one another.
In particular, the said cooperation will focus on combining Rheinmetall’s TacNet tactical management system, its expertise in soldier systems and Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (C4ISTAR) applications with Intracom Defense’s WiSPRevo communication and information system and long-standing experience in the field of vehicle communications.
Under this cooperation agreement, Rheinmetall and Intracom Defense will pool their technological, production, and commercial capabilities to produce operationally excellent, user-friendly, cost-efficient C4I solutions for military vehicles – invariably geared to the needs of the customer.
