IANUS Technologies Ltd., a Cypriot company specialising in security, cybersecurity, and defence solutions, presented a very interesting crisis management platform at the Defence and Security BATTLEFIELD REDEFiNED 2024 conference.
Dr. Georgios Kioumourtzis, the company’s CEO, introduced MAESTRO, a cutting-edge incident management platform that epitomises IANUS’ vision of delivering innovative operational solutions.
Headquartered in Cyprus, IANUS Technologies has been at the forefront of research and development in the domain since its inception, particularly in European Union and national-level projects. With a remarkable track record of raising €5.5 million in funding since 2020, the company remains committed to advancing technologies that empower defence forces, first responders, and civil security agencies.
At the heart of IANUS’ participation in the Conference at issue was MAESTRO, an adaptable and modular, software-driven platform designed to enhance the efficiency and response times of entities such as police forces, firefighting teams, emergency medical services, and security companies. Tailored to the specific needs of its users, MAESTRO equips them with robust tools for operational management and control, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across all levels.

MAESTRO offers a comprehensive Command-Control and Information platform that bridges the gap between field units and central command centers. Its core strength lies in its ability to provide a real-time Common Operational Picture (COP), enabling informed decision-making and rapid response.
Developed in collaboration with end-users, including the Cyprus Fire Service, the platform has undergone rigorous field trials in Greece, Cyprus, and Spain, proving its value in diverse scenarios such as earthquakes, forest fires, and oil spills.
Designed and integrated entirely by IANUS, MAESTRO’s secure and user-friendly architecture includes a suite of advanced features. Its modular software ensures encrypted communication and adaptable functionality, whether deployed at local, regional, or national levels. The platform’s dashboard facilitates resource management, case handling, and operational oversight, consolidating critical data streams such as UAV video feeds, sensor networks, and real-time threat detection systems.
MAESTRO’s capabilities extend far beyond traditional incident management tools. From its mobile app providing real-time communication for first responders to its web application serving as a command hub, the platform delivers an unparalleled level of operational efficiency.
Particularly, it offers case and mission management with hazard and threat notifications, resource optimisation through centralised administration, built-in chat services, and seamless third-party integrations. In parallel, it supports Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) threat detection. The platform’s wearable hub ensures uninterrupted connectivity with the command centre, further enhancing situational awareness and operational control.
Dr. Kioumourtzis emphasised that MAESTRO’s future developments include the integration of artificial intelligence for predictive analytics and enhanced decision-making capabilities, as well as expanded support for drone mission control.
