Strong explosions shook the northern districts of the Yemeni capital. The Saudi-led military alliance said earlier today that it would hit “legitimate” military targets, facilities of pro-Iranian Shia Houthi insurgents. The alliance under Riyadh claimed to have destroyed a high-value facility: a place from which ballistic missiles were fired.

Shia insurgents have claimed responsibility for airstrikes in northern Sanaa. However, they did not provide any information on whether there were any casualties or property damage. On Saturday, they announced that they had sent 14 UAVs to hit targets in various Saudi cities. Among the targets was the ARAMCO facility in Jeddah. Last week, pro-Houthis sources said some 14,700 insurgents had been killed in the battle of Marib, while government army officials said that the casualties reached some 1,250.
