The US military announced midday Friday that it had killed ISIS leader Abu Yusuf in an airstrike in Deir ez-Zor province.
In the annual report of the United Nations for the promotion and protection of the rights of the child on “Children and armed conflicts”, there are serious accusations against Turkey for killing children and attacking schools. The report was published in June 2023 and covers the period January – December 2022.

Specifically, the UN reports that the Turkish Armed Forces are responsible for the deaths of 6 children in Syria, incidents which were confirmed in 2022. Also, the Turkish Armed Forces are also responsible for 1 attack on a school in Syria. In addition, the UN report blames Turkey for the death of 15 children in Iraq in airstrikes against the Kurds.
