“It is Greece that negatively presents the pursuit of our rights,” said Turkish Defence Minister, Hulusi Akar, adding that the best way to find a solution is for Greece to negotiate with Turkey.”
In an interview with NTV, the Turkish Minister said that “it is our duty to protect the interests of our country. We just want to protect our rights.” He added that “it is Greece that negatively presents the pursuit of our rights. The best way to find a solution is for Greece to negotiate with Turkey. We have plans, we are trying to move forward in this context. If you are looking for solutions other than negotiations with Turkey, this problem will not be solved. We only call for dialogue.”
Regarding the S400, Hulusi Akar said that “Russia responded positively to the air defence system. We will do our best to ensure that US sanctions do not cause harm. The US must correct its mistake as soon as possible. We are waiting for the decision to be corrected. At the moment, the S400s are being inspected in our country,” he concluded.
