On May 20th, the Afrin Liberation Forces (ALF) claimed responsibility for a recent raid by the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA), near the town of Basufane in the southern part of the Turkish-occupied province of Afrin.

The Kurdish rebel group released footage of the daring raid, which took place on May 19th. The video, shot with a thermal camera mounted on a rifle, shows Kurdish fighters penetrating the SNA position and then engaging targets.

The ALF video also includes footage of a successful attack on an SNA vehicle with an improvised explosive device (IED).

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), five fighters of the SNA al-Sham corps were killed during the ALF raid.

The Turkish army responded to the raid by bombing Kurdish areas south of Afrin, where Syrian Arab Army (SAA) troops and Russian forces are stationed. According to Southfront.org, four Syrian soldiers were wounded.
