“SPARTAN SWORD” | Strategic bomber B-52 in joint exercise with Greek F-16s – Photos
A joint exercise codenamed “SPARTAN SWORD” took place between the Hellenic Armed Forces and a Strategic bomber B-52 of the US Air Force, on Monday, June 14th 2021.
From the Greek side, a number of F-16 fighter jets participated in the exercise, while High Value Asset Attack and Protection missions were carried out with alterations in the role of both the attacker and the Escort Force.
“SPARTAN SWORD” is another training collaboration with the US Armed Forces, in the framework of the strategic planning of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff for the continuous upgrade of joint activities with friends and allied countries, where valuable experiences are exchanged, in highly complex missions, maximizing the operational benefit of the Armed Forces of the participating countries.
