Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, has said Moscow is ready to break ties with the European Union if severe economic sanctions are imposed by the latter, according to an interview posted on the Ministry’s website today.
Relations between Russia and the West have come under renewed pressure over the arrest and imprisonment of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, which has sparked discussions of possible new sanctions.
