Search & Rescue | Joint exercise of Cyprus – Greece “SALAMIS – 04/21”

According to the announcement of the Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC), on Friday, August 20, 2021, a joint Search & Rescue exercise codenamed “SALAMIS – 04/21” was held between Cyprus and Greece. The exercise took place within the Search & Rescue area of ​​responsibility of the Republic of Cyprus, with the participation of the Greek Frigate “SALAMIS”, a helicopter of the 460th Search-Rescue Squadron of the National Guard as well as specialized nurses of the Ambulance Service of the State Health Services Organization.

This exercise, coordinated by the Larnaca Joint Rescue Coordination Center, in collaboration with the Hellenic Navy General Staff, is the 4th Search & Rescue exercise conducted in 2021 and is part of the existing Search & Rescue Transnational Agreement between Cyprus and Greece.
