“NIKITIS-DIMITRA – 2021” | Held across Cyprus free areas with the entire National Guard staff
The national joint “NIKITIS-DIMITRA – 2021” exercise commenced on Thursday, June 3, 2021 and will end on Friday, June 11, 2021. The exercise is large-scale and will be conducted across the free territory of Cyprus, without the use of fire, with the participation of the Commands, Formations, Tactical Groups and Units of the National Guard.
During the exercise, the decision-making processes will be examined, along with their turn into instructions and orders in a period of tension, crisis and operations. Furthermore, all branches will be trained in scenarios that simulate real conditions in a period of operations. The operational scenarios that will be scaled up during the exercise will be completed with the realization of a number of final phases.
The entire staff of the National Guard participates in the exercise, while reservists and national guards have been invited to take part in some of the exercise phases.
