The PSIM mast was installed on the first Greek FDI frigate “KIMON”, as shown in a video published by the manufacturing company Naval Group.

In its post on X, the French company expresses its wishes for the Hellenic Armed Forces Day. On this occasion, it released a video showing the installation of the integrated PSIM (Panoramic Sensor Intelligence Module) sensor mast on the “KIMON” frigate.
The PSIM includes almost all sensor systems of the warship, such as Identification, friend or foe (IFF), navigation systems, UHF communication antennas, and electronic warfare systems, among others.

Additionally, it was manufactured and tested separately from the ship’s main structure, and once its proper operation had been fully certified and tested it was installed on the ship.
It is recalled that on October 4, 2023, the first Greek FDI-type frigate “KIMON” was officially launched at the Naval Group shipyards in Lorient, France.
