After the resignation of Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulidis, Ioannis Kasoulidis takes office again.
In a statement, the President of the Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis, states that the resignation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis, saddens him greatly, since he has been one of his close associates for a number of years. He adds that the developments do not give him any choice other than accepting the resignation of Mr. Christodoulidis. He adds that Mr. Ioannis Kasoulidis will take over as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs from Tuesday 11/1.
Nikos Christodoulidis announced his resignation on Sunday, amid developments concerning the presidential elections and an obvious political conflict with DISY President Averof Neophytou, while expressing his interest in the 2023 presidential elections.
