Ministry of Defence | Bilateral Cooperation and Joint Military Exercises with the United Kingdom
A new Bilateral Cooperation Program on Defence and Security between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus and the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom for 2020 – 2021 is underway.
The program includes carrying out activities in the territories of the Republic of Cyprus and the United Kingdom, respectively. Among other things, joint Search and Rescue exercises are planned to be conducted on the ground and in the EEZ of the Republic of Cyprus, while National Guard Officers will study at UK Military Schools.
The program was described by the interested parties as a tangible proof of the will of the two countries to further deepen and strengthen their cooperation in the fields of defence and security.
