The Milipol 2021 exhibition, one of the largest Homeland Security exhibitions in the world, is held in Paris from October 19 to 22, 2021.

Among the systems showcased, this year’s exhibition includes the autonomous security Thalamus robot of the French Glocal Robotics. According to the company, the autonomous Thalamus robot – manufactured in France – started field tests in July 2021.

Thalamus is designed to monitor the perimeter of large urban and industrial areas in need of protection for which conventional security methods are less efficient and more costly.

Thalamus technical characteristics:

  • Weight: 250 kg
  • Length: 2.3 meters
  • Maximum Speed: 30 km/h
  • Electro-optical equipment with HESAI’s Light Detection and Ranging pulsed laser beam

Its equipment, combined with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, allows Thalamus to patrol day and night on difficult terrain.

According to the company, in addition to more efficient security and cost reduction, Thalamus offers quicker response times to incidents.
