Meeting on energy efficiency | “Greece is and will remain energy secured”

The meeting held under Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, regarding national energy efficiency – following Gazprom’s decisions made yesterday – concluded that there is energy efficiency and no disruption is expected to arise in the country’s supply.

The next payments to Gazprom will be made over the last 10 days of May. As stressed during the meeting, Greece is and will remain energy secured. 

It should also be noted that the Ministry of Energy has already announced a detailed plan to meet energy needs in any development, as reported by APA MPA. 

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Costas Skrekas, the Ministers of State, George Gerapetritis and Akis Skertsos, the Deputy Prime Minister and Government Spokesman, Giannis Oikonomou, the Secretary-General of the Prime Minister, Grigoris Dimitriadis, and the Permanent Representative of Greece to the European Union, Ambassador Ioannis Brailas.

Among other attendees were the President of RAE, Thanos Dagoumas, the CEO of DEPA, Konstantinos Xifaras, the President and CEO of PPC, George Stassis, the Deputy Government Representative, Aristotelia Pelonis, the Head of the Prime Minister’s Financial Office, Alexis Patelis, and the Head of the Prime Minister’s Press Conference Office, Dimitris Tsiodras.
