From Monday, February 21 to Friday, March 4, 2022, the Armed Forces will participate in the Allied Exercise “DYNAMIC MANTA 22”, which is conducted in the wider sea area in eastern Sicily.

Exercise “DYNAMIC MANTA 22” is a LIVEX / MAREX / SUBEX exercise (Live-Maritime-Submarine Exercise), conducted under NATO on an annual basis, which aims to train the participating forces in complex operational scenarios and in a multi-threat environment in Surface Warfare, so as to increase their synergy and enhance their interoperability.

In the Exercise, Greece participates with Frigate AIGAION, which is part of the Standing NATO Maritime Group Two (SNMG 2), the Submarine MATROZOS, the Naval Operation Aircraft P-3B as well as 2 Staffs at the Maritime Command Headquarters (MARQOM HQ).

In addition to the Greek Armed Forces, forces from France, Germany, the USA, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, and Canada are participating along with the entire SNMG 2 Group.
