INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
As of Friday, July 24, 2020, Navy Units have been integrated into the USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER Carrier Strike Group during its crossing of the Eastern and Central Mediterranean. This action took place following the General Staff’s planning and organization and after the execution details were defined by the Navy and Air Force General Staff, with the aim of promoting the level of cooperation between Greece and the USA.

During the escort mission and in the context of the joint training of means and Units of the two countries, a number of related technical exercises were implemented with the participation of a Frigate and a Navy Submarine. In addition, a number of the Hellenic Air Force aircraft carried out air combat training with the carrier’s aircraft in the role of both attacker and defender, while during the day, they fired to the West of Crete and at the KARAVIA Shooting Range.
The escort – joint training will be completed during the evening hours of July 27, 2020.
