Hellenic Force in Kosovo | Deputy Defence Minister’s visit to Pristina

According to an announcement by the Ministry of National Defence, Deputy Defence Minister, Alkiviadis Stefanis, visited on Thursday, August 19, 2021, the headquarters of the Hellenic Force in Kosovo (ELDYKO) in “Film City” camp of the Kosovo Force (KFOR) in Pristina. He was accompanied by the Commander of the 3rd Army Corps, Lieutenant General Anastasios Spanos.

After being informed by the Deputy Commander of the Kosovo Force, Brigadier Günter Schöpf, about ongoing actions, the Minister visited the Camp facilities and met with the Commander of Greek Contingent 3/19 (ELDYKO-3/19) Major George Kiosterakis. The Minister was briefed on all the actions taken by the Headquarters by the Greek Senior Officer of Pristina, Major Tryfonas Mitkas.

In his address to the ELDYKO-3/19 personnel, the Deputy Minister stressed the excellent footprint of the Hellenic Armed Forces in the region and presented the actions of the Ministry of National Defence, focusing on the love for and protection of the Homeland, conveying the message “We are everywhere, faithful to our mission.”

During his visit, the Minister provided guidance to the personnel and held a meeting with the Director of the Consular Office in Pristina, Secretary General of the Embassy, ​​Mrs. Eugenia Bleta, who represented the Head of the Pristina Liaison Office, Minister Chrysoulla Aleiferi.
