On December 14 and 15, the Greek-French security workshop will be organized in Athens by the French Maritime Industry Association GICAN, the Direction de la Coopération International de Sécurité (DCIS) department of the French Ministry of Interior, the French Embassy in Greece and the Union of Greek Manufacturers of Defensive Material (SEKPY).

These two days will be dedicated to strengthening bilateral industrial and commercial relations between France and Greece in the field of security in the broadest sense: government action at sea, security of critical facilities and infrastructure, border security, cyber security and drones, and civil protection.

According to a relevant announcement, it is going to be an exciting two days of B2B meetings to strengthen French-Greek operational cooperation in Security, as this event will provide the opportunity for in-person contacts with the Greek Ministries, French and Greek companies as well as participation in round tables and business meetings.

At this point, it should be recalled that a similar initiative was held in Cyprus on 16 and 17 May 2023 at the SEMELI hotel in Nicosia, where the Cyprus Association of Research and Innovation Enterprises (CARIE) and the Cyprus Defence Cluster co-organized by GICAN, the DCSD department of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the French Embassy in Cyprus and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held the 1st French and Cypriot Security and Defence Workshop.
