According to relevant instructions, the Permanent Representative of Greece to NATO proceeded, according to diplomatic sources, in a written statement of protest to the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, after the wishes expressed by the headquarters of the NATO land forces in Ankara.

The NATO Land Forces Command (LANDCOM), based in Izmir, made a post on its account on the “X” platform, congratulating to Turkey on the occasion of the celebration of the so-called “Victory Day”, the anniversary that coincides with the defeat of the Greek forces in Asia Minor in 1922.

It is noted that LANCOM made a similar mistake last year and the post was deleted after the Greek reaction.
