The Forestry Department’s fleet is being reinforced with twenty-five new fire engines ahead of the forthcoming summer season.

The Fire Service made an announcement to inform the public that within the framework of its training activities aiming at the personnel’s readiness, exercises will be held in Paphos on the following dates and times:
- 21/04/2023 at 10:00 a.m. – Road accident and slope rescue exercise in the area of Ano Kylades in Polis Chrysochous.
- 26/04/2023 at 09:00 am – Fire and rescue exercise on a pleasure craft at the port of Latsi.
- 27/04/2023 at 10:00 a.m. – Fire drill in a gas tanker and rescue of a person in the parking lot of the LA PLAGE restaurant in Poli Chrysochous.
Therefore, there will be a mobilization of Fire Fighting Aircraft during the above dates and times with absolutely no cause for public concern.
