A few minutes after 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, the entire tram line 7, which runs the route “Asklipieio Voulas – Agia Triada”, was reopened, as the operation to neutralize a World War II bomb was completed with a controlled explosion at the old airport of Hellinikon.

As ERT reports, this is the third bomb that has been found at the construction site since the works began.

In addition to the bomb disposal units of the Armed Forces, the Fire Service was also called to the scene, while ambulances were also sent by the National Emergency Centre.

Traffic regulations were in effect along Alimos intersection to Poseidonos Avenue as well as on other roads in the area.
